McKenna Hunter, is a debut author from the Northeast and casually began to jot down her stories between classes—or sometimes during class—as a university undergraduate. Even though she has a background in the social sciences, her eyes have always shined the brightest for storytelling. She earned her BA in Political Science and International Relations and then went on to receive her MA in Criminal Justice. She began seriously writing while obtaining her master’s degree and studying abroad in South Korea. Growing up military, McKenna was accustomed to and valued diversity in all aspects of life. With that in mind, she creates characters from varying walks of life throughout her novels and children’s books. It is very common to see her art infused with, euphorically vivid futuristic space drops, dreamy and whimsical color pops that are sprinkled with ‘90s themed fun. McKenna is all about her motto, Better Together Siempre, also known as, Better Together Always, which is represented by her milk and honey symbol. Now, utilizing all of her acquired skillsets, she is passionate about crafting exciting and witty stories for children and young adults. McKenna is currently working on several books that reflect all of her interests and she has her sights set on experimenting in various genres and literary forms. Always looking to collaborate and expand, McKenna actively seeks and welcomes inquiries from artists and creatives from all fields.
